Are you free for our wedding?
Simple question, but it’s also the most important! To find out, you need to either call us on 07909 938931 or E-mail us at: info@glitterstudios.co.uk
How long have you been producing wedding videos?
This is an important question and should specifically be "how long have you been making wedding videos"?
Filming a wedding is very different from filming a play or commercial, it takes experience to know and to predict the next event in a wedding, there is usually a specific script to follow so the cameraman has to be positioned in advance of the event where possible.
We are a young company, established only three years ago, and don’t shy away from letting people know that. The advantage of being a young company is that we are a lot more eager to please, as we know that our business depends on your satisfaction. We are also a lot more aware of the importance of embracing new technologies and ideas, our staff are continually sent on courses to keep their skills fresh and discover new techniques which older production companies avoid.
What equipment do you use?
We use two Sony VX2100 Digital Video Cameras. They are considered to be excellent cameras to film wedding ceremonies for two reasons:
•Their low-light capabilities are fantastic - very important in churches where lighting rigs cannot be constructed.
•They are light, portable and have a rapid setup time allowing us to capture candid moments with ease.
How do you edit the footage?
Once your day has been captured to Digital Video, we return to our studio and transfer the movie in it’s raw state (known as ‘lossless’ due to the fact that no detail has been lost due to compression) to the large storage drives of our Digital Editing Suite. Digital Video in a ‘Lossless’ state is incredibly large (around 300MB of storage per second) so space requirements needed for ten hours of film is vast.
From here we use an industry standard Editing Package and start trawling through your footage combining camera angles, adding special effects, titles and music until we end up with a final cut.
The final cut is then combined with our DVD menu authoring suite and our Artists start to design the covers for those who opted for the ‘Personalised DVD Cover/Case’ option.
Eventually our final product is completed and we then contact you to arrange the collection or delivery of your movie.
Where are your offices?
We are currently a home based business but we are always happy to show our customers the editing suite. If you would like to see where your wedding videos will be put together and the equipment we use to make it all possible then don’t hesitate to CONTACT US so that we can arrange a time.
What about the Copyright of the Music on the DVD?
You don’t need to worry about getting a Copyright Licence for the music contained on your film. It’s included in our price (a standard licence for 1 to 5 copies is £75). This allows you to have any music on your movie without having to worry about breaking any copyright laws. For further information please CLICK HERE to be transported to the UK Video Licence Organisation where you can find out some more information.
Will the cameraman get in the way?
Many videographers feel they should almost be in the photographs! We pride ourselves in our unobtrusive style and will do our very best to stay out of the way.
Are you familiar with our wedding location?
We know most locations in the area, if it's a new location to us, we'll visit before to ensure we shoot from the best spots.
Can we see a sample video?
Sample videos of weddings are available HERE. We can also send a demo DVD to you so that you can see the footage in high quality on your own television.
